It’s far too easy, far too natural to be anywhere but Here, to wander in and out of all the time that is not Now. Almost half our waking hours are spent elsewhere and elsewhen.
Letting our mind wander is necessary, but letting it fixate on the non-reality of the past can be fatal for what’s at hand. Allowing the past to inform the present doesn’t require us to let it dictate it.
